E3 2012: Watch Dogs Details

Uri Gorelik By Uri Gorelik on Jun 07, 2012 08:50 am

As one of the best surprises of E3 2012, it’s easy to say that Watch Dogs “wins” E3. After debuting at the end of Ubisoft’s press conference on Monday, the majority of gamers were excited, but still cautiously optimistic due to being burned in the past (see Molyneux phenomenon).

E3 2012: Nintendo 3DS Software Showcase Recap

Patrick Vice By Patrick Vice on Jun 06, 2012 11:26 pm

Nintendo was very rushed for time at their E3 press conference, with only one hour. This caused them to skip a lot of their new 3DS announcements, and spawned a different show focused around the handheld. The 3DS had a great lineup of game and services that were sadly pushed aside for a lackluster WiiU showcase. So lets get started.

E3 2012: Sony Keynote Recap

Sony's keynote went very well. Jack Tretton immediately started the conference with prominent focus on the gamers and games. I was almost surprised when the conference didn't start with Sony boasting about some kind of world leading social connectivity or some bogus stat that, everyone knows is just fluff.

Let's get into it, here's my summary of the E3 2012 Sony/PlayStation Keynote.

E3 2012: Ubisoft Keynote Recap

Seva V. By Seva V. on Jun 04, 2012 07:10 pm

Ubisoft was the third company to do their keynote today, and their competition so far has been pretty underwhelming. At least in terms of games.

With Microsoft focusing more on the Kinect, and the social and media aspects of the 360, and EA showing off more sports games and a few sequels, Ubisoft had a good chance to really steal the show. And in my opinion, they did.

You can watch the hole conference here. And if you'd like a run down of what went on instead, read on.

E3 2012: EA Keynote Recap

The Electronic Arts Keynote is finally over and we have got a good taste of what is to come in the upcoming months. They showcased ten different development teams, and therefore ten different games. So lets get under way.

E3 2012: Microsoft Keynote Recap

Lucas By Lucas on Jun 04, 2012 04:00 pm

Microsoft’s E3 conference this year focused on integrating Xbox and other Microsoft products into your everyday life. Microsoft is pushing the multimedia aspects of the Xbox 360 with more television content through the Xbox live dashboard, Xbox Music, Nike+ Kinect Training and, the largest announcement, Smart Glass. Many games focused on their Kinect integration. While some Kinect features seem gimmicky (e.g. Madden 13) others seem like they might add something to the game (e.g. Splinter Cell: Blacklist). As always the Kinect only games look bad. On the contrary, games that didn’t feature any Kinect integration look quite good (e.g. Halo 4 and Call of Duty)

E3 isn't officially underway yet, but trailers for upcoming games have already started rolling out. Don't expect much gameplay, but a few of these trailers do a good job of building up hype.
